Nathan E. Carr, Esq. LL.M – Partner
Mr. Carr's' experience started back in Law School at the University of Denver. Mr. Carr while earning his Law degree worked in the tax resolution center, in which he helped low income tax payers get tax resolution with the IRS. Since then Mr. Carr has continued working for firms in Utah and Arizona as their top Tax Attorney. He then teamed up with Lawrence "D" Pew in starting the multi-state firm to help the tax payers in those states. Now Mr. Carr is the sole Partner/ Owner of his own firm.
He is also a member of the Utah and Arizona Bar, and can practice Bankruptcy in both jurisdictions.
Mr. Carr is also licensed to practice in front of the U.S. tax court, which means he can practice in front of the IRS for anyone in any of the 50 states and all territories Mr. Carr has represented people as a Utah tax attorney in most states including the following: Arizona, Utah, California, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Colorado, Massachusetts, Missouri and Michigan.
Spencer M. Couch- Attorney
Mr. Couch is Carr Law’s primary representative in the Utah office. His practice consists of approximately 90% bankruptcy with the remaining 10% in tax, estate planning, business organization, and general litigation. Mr. Couch is the person with whom Utah clients will have the most contact, and with whom most clients will work to complete their case. He builds a good rapport with clients to make them feel as comfortable as possible when going through a difficult time. With extensive experience dealing with clients in a variety of situations, Mr. Couch can show compassion and understanding no matter your situation.
Mr. Couch graduated from the University of Utah with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both German and Political Science. He then attended the S.J. Quinney College of Law, also at the University of Utah, where he received his Juris Doctor. During law school Mr. Couch received extensive training in conflict resolution and client relations.
Mr. Couch has been in the legal field for more than 10 years and has worked for a variety of organizations in a variety of positions. He has worked for a large law firm, the Utah State Attorney General, a US District Court judge, as a sole practitioner, and in a small firm. His experience allows him to see the legal system from all sides, giving Mr. Couch a balanced understanding of the process.
Mr. Couch is licensed to practice law in Utah before the state courts and the US District Court for the District of Utah.

Brandon Metcalfe, EA- Enrolled to practice before the IRS
Mr. Metcalfe has the responsibility of making sure the business operations run smoothly. With over five years of experience in Management and customer service in the Tax Resolution market, Mr. Metcalfe brings an undaunted ability to get things done.
Many of our clients will gain a good relationship with Mr. Metcalfe and be comforted in his manor and responsiveness.
Mr. Metcalfe also brings the designation of Enrolled Agent to the firm. This designation means Mr. Metcalfe has been trained and tested in tax resolution and representation before the IRS. Mixed with being an EA and years of experience in negotiations Mr. Metcalfe is the right fit when it comes to negotiating and working out tough resolutions with the IRS.
